Children whose mothers were alcoholics during pregnancy and suffer from a specific disorder, "fetal alcohol", will have problems with math and understanding the sequence of numbers.

This is the conclusion of a team from the University of Alberta (Canada) who found that these children have the greatest difficulty, during intelligence tests, in questions about numbers and arithmetic operations.
The way of teaching mathematics is too fast and should be adapted to the comprehension possibilities of these children, who, because of alcohol, have other deficiencies, such as the behavioral and emotional ones.
